Arnie Zipursky

Co-CHAIRMAN, CEO of Cambium Catalyst Entertainment

Arnie Zipursky is Co-chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CCI Entertainment. He was founder of Cambium Entertainment in 1982, which then merged with Catalyst Entertainment in 2002 to form Cambium Catalyst International (CCI). Arnie is a leading entrepreneur in both the Canadian and International independent film and television production industry. He is highly regarded for his creative vision and leadership.

CCI’s film co-production with BBC TV, I Was A Rat, won the prestigious Rockie award at the Banff Television Festival for best program in 2003.
Arnie co-directed and executive produced the feature documentary Each Of Us Has A Name, which received the Silver Screen Award at the 2000 US International Film & Video Festival. He produced the movie The Ride, starring Yaphet Koto, the adult prime time drama which was nominated at the 2002 Monte Carlo International Festival in the categories of Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, and Best Director.

He recently co-directed and produced the feature docu-drama My Opposition, the story of Freidrich Kellner’s opposition to Hitler’s regime.

He was Co-Creator and Executive Producer of the hit CBC/Nickelodeon series Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show, which has been inducted into the US Gold Parents' Choice Hall Of Fame. He co-created and executive-produced 65 episodes of Eric's World, which was honoured with an Award of Excellence from the Children's Broadcast Institute. As well, he Executive Produced 40 episodes of Timeblazers for YTV/Discovery Kids Canada & Discovery Kids Channel U.S. -- recently nominated by ACT for Best Children’s Program or Series.

In the world of music programming, Arnie was Executive Producer of My Foolish Heart: The Holly Cole Trio for Global Television and EMI Japan, which garnered two Gemini Awards as well as the prestigious Rose D'Or Montreux, and produced a feature profile of Jane Sibbery for CBC .

Animation programming is also a large part of the CCI library. Arnie was Executive Producer of the critically-acclaimed Foolish Girl, Co-Creator and Executive Producer of Nilus The Sandman and Kit & Kaboodle; and Executive Produced The Ripping Friends (a John Kricfalusi series) for FOX Television US and Teletoon Canada. He is Executive Producer of the series Harry And His Bucket Full Of Dinosaurs produced in Shanghai, now in its third season. and the Chrysler Viewers' Choice Award-winning 3D CG series Monster By Mistake.

He is Executive Producer of the 40-episode reality series GHOST TRACKERS for YTV and the series Erky Perky for YTV, Nickelodeon and Ch. 7 Australia .
