Sun Li SUN LI plays LITTLE TIGER, a feisty Chinese girl disguised as a boy, working in a fireworks factory. When James comes there recruiting, Little Tiger begs to be hired to help build the railroad through the Rockies, so she can seek her fortune and find her long-lost father. Born in Shanghai, actress Sun Li began her professional dancing career when she was only five years old and by the time she was 11, she had already toured the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan and many other countries with the Eastern Children’s Troupe of Shanghai. At 15, she joined the army in a performance troupe. She says that three years of life as a young soldier taught her to be mentally strong, gave her team spirit and earned honours for her troupe, leaving her with unforgettable memories. During this period she carried out military drills, did physical labour with other soldiers, farmed, and fed pigs. Her life has radically changed since then. Although she had no professional training, Sun Li was critically lauded for her work in theatre. But she captured hearts throughout China with her leading roles in ten television series! Her roles in A Meter of Sunlight and Jade Goddess of Mercy earned her huge popularity and made her a household name. Recently, she starred in the remake of Shanghai Grand, and made her feature film debut opposite Jet Li in the action drama Fearless. This brought her international recognition and a Hong Kong Film Award nomination in 2007 for Best New Performer. In Fearless, Sun Li plays a blind girl who teaches humility to a martial arts champion played by Jet Li.
